It’s a good time to be a cat at We Care Animal Rescue, which opened a new building to house adoptable felines.
City officials and members of the community gathered at the shelter on Saturday to cut the ribbon on the new triple-wide modular building, which replaces a dilapidated structure and offers new amenities for cats and their caretakers.
Executive Director Ashley Armstrong thanked the St. Helena community for supporting the nonprofit, no-kill shelter.
“We are going to be able to save so many lives, thanks to you,” she said.
