Sophie Rai of Angwin delivered a $350 check to We Care Animal Rescue Friday. The 14-year-old Rai, seen here with We Care executive assistant Paige O’Connor, was the featured artist at the St. Helena Public library in January, and she had a silent auction during the artist’s reception. Instead of keeping the money, Rai donated 100% of her profits to We Care.
We Care Animal Rescue is becoming the Jackson Galaxy Project. With Jackson Galaxy as board president, we are building and teaching a truly cat-centric model of animal welfare, starting here in St. Helena. We are the same 501(c)(3) (Tax ID 94-2864103), so every gift to We Care supports this work.
We are open for adoptions seven days a week from 9 am - 3 pm. Please call for same day appointments between 3 pm - 5 pm while we work to expand hours.
