Ashley has committed her professional career to animal rescue. Over the past 15 years, she has worked for many organizations, including the Humane Society of Sonoma County, the Seattle Humane Society, and the New Orleans SPCA. She also founded and manages Rebel Ranch Rescue, a nonprofit that places unwanted farm animals in loving homes.

In her off time, Ashley volunteers with the Sonoma Community Animal Response Team (Sonoma CART) on their Small Animal Leadership and Evacuation teams. Ashley also works with several organizations to provide free or low-cost veterinary services to low-income and unsheltered residents in Sonoma County.

Ashley shares her home with her partner, their 7 children, four dogs, two cats, and various farm animals.
