Julia Orr

Julia Orr brings twenty years of experience in the entertainment, non-profit, and animal welfare worlds to her role as Development Director with We Care Animal Rescue. Julia joins the We Care team with a rich and relevant portfolio of leadership, program development, and outreach skills. Most recently, as Executive Director with Molly’s Angels, she significantly strengthened Napa’s network of support services for isolated seniors (and their companion animals!).

Before coming to Napa, Julia was for many years the Walt Disney Studios Senior Publicist for premieres, film festivals, and global tours for such box office blockbusters as the Pirates of the Caribbean, Chronicles of Narnia, Hidalgo, Ratatouille, and Finding Nemo. She also directed publicity for Disney’s Animation Division on films such as The Princess and the Frog, Winnie the Pooh, Tangled, and Emmy Award Winning TV short Prep & Landing. Before leaving Los Angeles, Julia brought together her two decades of volunteering on animal, environmental, and human rights issues with her extensive public relations, marketing, and development experience to consult for some of the animal welfare movement’s most respected organizations.

From England to Los Angeles to Napa, Julia uses her talents to help those in need, be it people or animals. When not at work, she volunteers for Napa Wildlife Rescue and maintains her credentials as a trained animal rescue disaster worker in support of Napa CART and North Valley Animal Disaster Group.
