Animal Care Specialist Lead
Jennifer Steinmetz, our Animal Care Specialist Lead, has been caring for animals ever since she was a child. She felt blessed that she had the opportunity to have a pet-filled home while growing up, including: rats, dogs, horses and fish.
Jennifer went to California State Polytechnic University, Pomona where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Zoology. Since finishing school, she has had the opportunity to volunteer with Santa Ana Zoo and Muscular Dystrophy Association.
She landed her first job as an animal cleaning attendant in 2015 for her local animal shelter and has loved working with animals ever since, especially rabbits and kittens. Jennifer Steinmetz is very excited to be a part of the We Care Animal Rescue team and looks forward to caring for all the animals at our sanctuary.
