Community Outreach Coordinator
Angela Penland grew up with a strong passion for helping animals in need. Her entire childhood was spent finding strays, rehabilitating them, and finding them new forever homes. After high school, she realized she wanted to continue on this mission. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science in Animal Science from Chico State University, where she focused her time on hands-on veterinary and animal care.
Angela Penland is a proud owner of two dogs and three cats, one of which was a We Care foster fail from her first year of working here. She enjoys new challenges that We Care takes on and always has an open door to take in fosters. Her favorite part of working at We Care is giving on-site tours and finding forever homes for our sanctuary cats.
