Sebastian

Sebastian’s many years on Earth have brought him much wisdom. This cosmic cat holds galactic secrets within his eyes, enough to know he wishes to adopt a human. A staff favorite and fondly nicknamed Seabass, he is one of the sweetest and happiest cats you’ll meet. While he may not be able to read the Sunday paper, he can see just fine despite his corneal edema.

Sebastian has an eye condition caused by feline herpesvirus. Each eye has diffuse corneal edema, which is often progressive and places both eyes at risk for corneal ulceration and inflammation. This is currently well-controlled with medication, but does not ever entirely go away. Sebastian is able to see and is comfortable, although his eyes both have a cloudy appearance. He is on medications to manage his condition, and these meds will be explained to a potential adopter.
