Here are some of our wonderful cats waiting for new homes. This information is current as of May 21, 2009. Call us at 707.963.7044 to learn more about these and other fine cats available for adoption.

We welcome individuals wishing to adopt to visit the We Care Refuge. Please call to set up an appointment, as we are unable to accomodate drop ins.

We have a $50 adoption donation which includes all shots to date and spay/neuter.We have an application process which requires a minimum of 24 hours to complete.

Waylon this gorgeous, lovable fluffy boy is like the bad boys at school....a lot of fun but a trouble maker.  Waylon is sweet, charming and affectionate but he can be a punk and he is not so great with other cats...a bit of a bully.  If he could be an only child we think he would be quite the cat!  

Heartbreaker is a a handsome, chubby cheeked, affectionate kitty. As you can see from his sad face, he has lived a tough street life and he will just break your heart. He is very outgoing and loves attention. He will follow you around like a dog.

Tiesto is a wonderful, mellow FIV+ fellow.  Tiesto is pretty laid back, very sweet and friendly and very cool!

Oscar Oscar is a handsome, apricot Manx.  This mellow guy is very catty, he can be sweet and affectionate and he can be moody, ornery and bothered..just like a cat!

Scampers has one of the cutest faces we have ever seen.  This adorable, older fella is a little love bug.  He will capture your heart with he sweet face and if that does not get you his precious little voice will.  He loves to get attention, greet you with hellos when you enter a room and talk, he is WONDERFUL!

Jude is a very sweet, sensitive and sometime feisty Chocolate Point Siamese.  She is looking for a quiet, home with someone who can give her the time, space and patience she needs to come into her own.  Once she adjusts she is very loving, playful and sweet it just takes her awhile to blossom.

Fil is a very sweet, sensitive, affectionate boy.  He would love to be an only child and get all the love and attention.  When he gets to know you he lets you hold him and give you little sweetheart kisses.

Taylor is a laid back and sweet boy.  This older Maine Coon charmer is reserved at first and needs a gentle understanding human to bring out his lovable and loving nature. He is friendly and purrs softly when you pet him.  Taylor also adores treats and will nudge your hand for one more, please. He does not like loud noises (but what kitty does?) and shies away from boisterous activities. He would do best in a quiet adult only environment.

Go Go Bear is a sweet, sensitive girl who would make a wonderful only child.  She is gentle, mellow and a real sweetheart.

Gypsy is our beautiful, young, new-kid on the block.  Gypsy is just under a year and she is sweet, adaptable, affectionate and great with other kitties.

Soloman what a cool cat!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Solomon is special needs because he is FIV+. He is as easy going and laid back as they come.  Solomon is always ready for a lap and would snuggle all day if he could.  He is great with other cats, shows absolutely no signs of aggression or dominance and he is as sweet as could be.  He is a medium-hair tuxedo kitty with an adorable 3/4 length tail, he probably got it caught in an engine when he was living on the streets.  He loves attention, shelter and care...all things that were missing from his life on the streets.  See link for FIV info:

Liam is a laid back, cool cat.  He is a handsome, sweet, lovable apricot tabby.  He is good with most other cats as long as they understand that he is the man of the house.

Dublin is a handsome fellow.  He is friendly, laid back and independent. Dublin won't beg for affection but he loves to be petted and talks back to you in appreciation.

Jasper is a young, sweet, shy, affectionate sleek black kitty.  He is wonderful with other cats and very mellow.

Gavin is an extremely affectionate love bug.  He cannot get enough attention, he would sit in your lap and give you loving head buts for hours if he could.  He is a young, adult-male and he is a magnificent grey with white toes and a white chest, adorable!

Hallie is a very sweet affectionate snuggle bug.  She loves to sit in your lap or lay behind you in a chair, nestled up to your back.  She can be a little shy at first but once she knows you she is always by your side.

Byron or Lord Byron as he wishes to be addressed is such a cool cat! He is friendly, serene and regal, as befits feline royalty. He loves to play and for showing off his prowess he demands that his human retinue pay him tribute with treats and lengthy chin rubs.

Caleb he is special needs because embodied in this gorgeous orange coat is a very complex kitty.  Caleb is very intense about everything in life.  When he gives attention it is 110% and not to be shared with anyone.  He is very loyal which causes him to be very jealous.  He is very physical which means he is either on your lap demanding all your attention or biting your arm because he didn't get what he wanted.  We like to describe Caleb as a kitty stuck in the terrible twos, he can be charming, adoring and amazing and he can also be trying, throw temper tantrums and act out by biting fiercely.  We do not want to down play his behavioral challenges but with that being said he truly is a remarkable cat, he is one of a kind and he certainly stands out in a crowd...not just his good looks but his loyal devotion and complete connection.  He requires unconditional love, patience and someone with thick skin, if you know what we mean.  He would make a great only child in an adult only home.  

Shawna loves human company. Other kitties? They're beneath her dignity. She would be thrilled if someone had room in their home and heart for her and preferably to her only.

Drifter has the cutest markings and a fun personality to boot.  Drifter is a young male with lots of love and entertainment to offer.

Isis is a magnificent, long-haired, black beauty.  This gorgeous girl is approximately 12 years old and declawed.  She is very independent and strong willed, she acts like an older gal very set in her ways and keeps to herself.

WAITING FOR HOMES

Heart is a beautiful model!  She is pretty and she knows it; this young, playful, sweetheart can be aloof at first because she knows everyone is so taken with her good looks.  Don't let her act fool you, she is sweet, affectionate and a doll!  

Prowler is a sweet, lovable boy.  He has a story or two to share.  He came to us as a semi-feral kitten and left those scaredy cat days long behind but when he was young he was bit by rattle snake and has lived to tell the tale.  He has a lot to share and so much to give.  

Nicholas is a sweet heart!  He is a bit shy at first but once he knows you he is all LOVE, he wil be in your lap and by your side all the time.

Leslie is a wonderful, mature maiden.  This black beauty is all love, she has all the great qualities a kitty can embody which makes her easy to fall in love with.  

Chopin is a wonderful Maine Coon kitty looking for a special home.  He is special needs because he is diabetic; if you are able to commit to his injections twice a day then this boy is well worth it.  He is super affectionate, friendly and loves to be around people.  He is very sweet and mellow and he will melt your heart.  He is in a foster home so he can get the care he needs but if you would like to meet this terrific boy please call We Care and we can arrange for you to meet him.  

Laurel is a young, inquisitive, sleek black beauty.  Laurel is a bit shy at first but when she warms up to you she is a sweetheart.  She has the most beautiful amber eyes.

Slater is a young, spunky short haired Grey boy. He would brighten your home with his antics!

Angela is such a nice tortoiseshell kitty. Playful, sweet and very friendly, Angela is waiting for someone special to love her. She will follow you around and let you know she loves you too.

Gretel is a small girl with huge amounts of love to give. A dilute tortie and a polydactyl (that's 6 toes on every foot!) Gretel has personality and then some! She is friendly, affectionate and a devoted friend. But she also has an independent streak. When Gretel wants to be alone she'll definitely let you know. When she wants to be loved (or to get treats) she'll make herself clear also. She'll make a phenomenal companion for the feline connoisseur. 

 

 

Diva is one special girl. Her name says it all – she likes to be the center of attention. She is healthy, intelligent and adorable. Diva is FIV positive.  This test result may mean that she has FIV (a disease that studies are beginning to show is far less consequential than originally thought) or that she has simply been vaccinated against FIV, which will forever give a positive test marker – a more likely scenario for a female.  Because there is no way of differentiating, as a precaution Diva will have to be an indoor only  kitty.

Mirabel is your classic female cat, she can be both sweet and grumpy, moody and mellow, affectionate and aloof.  Mirabel is a beautiful, classic tabby kitty who embodies all the qualities of a cat that we have grown to love.

Giovanni is a young, male, he is an orange tick tabby.  This mellow boy is an absolute love, he is both playful and kicked back.  He has a terrific brother that he pals around with named Nicholas.

Iris is a super affectionate, interactive mature female.  Iris loves being around people and getting lots of attention.  What's not to love!
